Author Janice Nissen Invites Families to Tee Up for Fun

Devon, PA – February 2026 — Calling all young readers, families, and golf lovers! Join author Janice Nissen at Barnes & Noble, Valley Forge (150 West Swedesford Road, Devon) on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET for a morning of stories, smiles, and adventures on the green.

Nissen will be reading her debut children’s book, Lizbeth, the Little Lost Golf Ball — a heartwarming and colorful tale about a bright pink ball named Lizbeth who discovers that even a “lost ball” can find her way home. Kids will laugh, cheer, and learn about courage, kindness, and never giving up.

After retiring from a career in biopharmaceuticals, Nissen picked up her golf clubs and found more than just a new hobby. “One day, I lost a ball near a pond and thought, ‘What kind of journey has this little ball been on?’” she says. “That’s when Lizbeth was born!”

Filled with whimsical characters like Delilah Driver, Putter Pete, and Genji Gator, Lizbeth, the Little Lost Golf Ball introduces young readers (ages 3–8) to the magic of golf — a game full of surprises, friendships, and life lessons.

PGA Professional Kevin Duffy shares his enthusiasm for Nissen’s story:

“Lizbeth’s adventures remind kids that golf isn’t just about hitting balls — it’s about discovery, perseverance, and having fun along the way.”

With its cheerful artwork and uplifting message, Lizbeth, the Little Lost Golf Ball is the perfect story for parents and grandparents who want to inspire kids to play outside, try something new, and believe in themselves — one swing at a time.
