North Wales, PA – January 2026 — Local author Janice Nissen invites families, young readers, and golf enthusiasts to join her for a special book signing event at Barnes & Noble in Montgomery Square, 1271 Knapp Road, North Wales, PA 19454, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET.
Nissen will be signing copies of her charming children’s book, Lizbeth the Little Lost Golf Ball, and sharing the story’s inspiration and lessons of perseverance, friendship, and fun on the greens.
After retiring from a successful career in biopharmaceuticals in 2022, Nissen sought a new outlet for her boundless curiosity and energy. She found it in golf — a sport that combined time outdoors, personal challenge, and camaraderie. But during one round, after losing (and unexpectedly finding) a golf ball by a water hazard, creativity struck. “I wondered what this little ball had been through,” says Nissen. “What adventures had it seen?”
That spark of imagination led to Lizbeth the Little Lost Golf Ball, a delightful and educational story aimed at children ages 3–8. The book follows Lizbeth, a bright pink ball, as she learns about golf from colorful characters like Delilah Driver, Putter Pete, and Genji Gator — all while discovering the importance of perseverance and hope. The story captures both the whimsy of golf and the universal themes of curiosity, resilience, and optimism.
With its engaging illustrations and heartfelt message, Lizbeth the Little Lost Golf Ball makes an ideal gift for parents and grandparents eager to share their love of golf and outdoor play with younger generations. Whether or not children are budding golfers, Nissen’s story opens conversations about practice, patience, and joy in every challenge.
